Businesses should create websites which are accessible and enjoyable for consumers, an expert has remarked.

Justin Cooke, managing director of website design firm Fortune Cookie, urged companies to encourage visitors to act as advocates of their online presence by offering them a "great user experience".

This includes making the website easy to find and full of useful content, he commented.

Corporate pages should be "findable, desirable, credible, usable and accessible", the managing director explained.

It can also help to integrate a firm's online and offline persona by ensuring the website experience matches the "brand's essence", Mr Cooke added.

Previously, product manager Kevin J Mireles remarked through his company website that when assessing how user-friendly a page is, it is important to consider its look and feel.

However, he stated it is also important that the system reacts appropriately and information is arranged in a way which makes sense to the user.

Firms which achieve this, Mr Mireles added, can benefit through increased conversions and enhanced consumer satisfaction.ADNFCR-1351-ID-18592829-ADNFCR
