Increasing organic traffic

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is responsible for a considerable increase in the amount of traffic online recruiter Monster is generating.
Financial news resource 123jump.com noted that the organisation's organic traffic increased by 26 per cent during March alone following attempts to increase its position within search engines.
"Monster made some significant search engine optimisation changes on its site over the past few months. Those changes are resulting in a much higher number of organic search visits to the Monster site," the publication explained.
Recently, James Saunders, managing director of online recruitment consultancy 4MAT, told online news source Personnel Today that companies could cut the amount they spend on recruitment if they improved the performance of their websites.
He explained that many recruitment agencies have used search engine optimisation tactics to secure high visibility, noting that firms which competed in this way could find they source their ideal candidates directly.
Mr Saunders added that although many blue-chip organisations have strong websites, a number have not grasped the importance of optimisation.
