The tourism body VisitBrighton has enlisted the help of a search engine optimisation (SEO) agency to boost its online marketing campaign.

Leapfrogg is to develop the city's online presence and states that it will ensure the website continues to be the most popular source of information on trips to Brighton.

Ben Potter, sales director at the search marketing firm, said this project will really highlight the full scope of SEO as it will incorporate more traditional tactics with "social networking and the creation and distribution of rich media content, such as video".

Leapfrogg intends to launch a campaign which will encourage visitors to the site to return.

Earlier this month, Enjoy England appointed media agency Greenroom Digital to boost the user-generated content capabilities of its website.

Brand Republic reported that the agency will aid the tourism organisation by adding polls, surveys and forums to the site and encouraging visitors to post reviews and holiday photographs.
