New figures put into perspective the increased number of marketing leads that arise from having a greater amount of website content.
In a post on the HubSpot Blog, the inbound marketing specialist explains that landing pages, blog posts and quantity of search-indexed content can all have a bearing.
For instance, sites with more than 31 landing pages typically generate ten times as many leads as those with fewer than five.
The greatest amount of traffic and the highest number of leads can be found on the largest sites - those with more than 400 pages in the search indexes.
Meanwhile, on an ongoing basis, sites with 20 blog posts a month see their traffic and leads grow to more than their less prolific counterparts.
Frequent updates not only help to produce more searchable content; they can also lead to sites being crawled more often by Google.
Google's Webmaster Tools settings page - under the 'site configuration' menu - allows webmasters to control their site's crawl rate and has, in the past, offered a faster rate to those with a frequently updated website.
