Article marketing 'needs quality copy'

Article marketing - the practice of using industry comment and content to boost inbound links and raise product awareness - will not work if the copy is of poor quality, an expert has warned.

Marketing commentator Todd Ash made his assertion in an article shared through Noodlenak.com, noting that as well as boosting search engine rankings by increasing a website's link popularity, publishing content boosts visitor numbers.

Furthermore, sharing news this way increases online presence but also raises a firm's credibility, he continued.

However, Mr Ash added: "Article marketing will not work if you publish information with little value. This reflects poorly on you and your products."

Digital agency Majon International notes that there is a "real art" to creating good quality articles and that people will not share and spread items which are poorly written, uninteresting and contain mistakes.

It warns marketers not to hammer out content in a few minutes or to stuff their articles full of keywords as this too can cause readers to feel bored.ADNFCR-1351-ID-18565775-ADNFCR
