Marketers wanting to increase the chances of a user finding their website should ensure their content works hard to attract search engines, an expert has remarked.

Industry commentator Jamie Herzlich, writing for online resource NewsDay.com, highlighted that content is "key" to the success of a website as it is crawled by search engines which then assess how highly a page should rank, affecting the number of web users who see it.

He urged marketers to spend as many as eight hours considering their keyword strategy to ensure the content is filled with only the most useful and productive phrases.

Businesses should remember that although moving to the top ranking positions within search results is not easy, it is possible, Mr Herzlich added.

However, earlier this month, Kronik Media warned that some firms are failing to select the most appropriate keywords.

It suggested in a post on the company blog that some marketers are choosing keywords based on volume of searches rather than relevance to the business.ADNFCR-1351-ID-18609849-ADNFCR
