Short, fresh copy 'offers website success'

Delivering valuable and fresh content is one way to increase a business website's chances of success, an expert has claimed.

In comments made to the bytestart.co.uk small business portal, marketing agency Lydie-DesignStudio highlighted the importance of an online presence for any company, whether to sell goods or simply create awareness of the brand.

One way to ensure customers regularly come back to the website is to provide them with regular and interesting content, the company urged.

Furthermore, the information should be broken up into small, easy-to-read amounts.

"Less is more as they say. Try to avoid large amounts of text on your website - it can often turn the customer off," Lydie-DesignStudio explained.

Site design firm atmmultimedia agrees fresh content is a good way to increase web traffic.

One example it offers would be for a jewellery retailer to publish information on precious stones.

Companies should also use newsletters to drive traffic back to websites, atmmultimedia adds.
