Articles 'build newsletter subscribers'

Article marketing through "interesting and useful" content can help build subscribers to emailed newsletters, an expert has commented.
Nick Stamoulis of online publicity firm
Brick Marketing made his suggestions through his
Email Marketing Journal blog.
He recommended companies use a "prominent" subscription form next to the content with a sentence suggesting browsers sign up for additional useful information.
"Email newsletters are a great medium, if you have the audience. Write some terrific articles that everyone will want to read and you're bound to get more subscribers," Mr Stamoulis explained.
Unless a newsletter has readers, it is a fairly useless exercise and building subscribers through article marketing is one way of increasing numbers more rapidly, he added.
Last month,
eSalesTrack remarked via its
blog that email newsletter marketing can be more effective than any other brand of marketing, if it is practised correctly.
However, it warned publishers not to overload their customers with irrelevant and uninteresting content to avoid being considered spam.
