Online lead generation 'needs good content'

When generating leads online, it is vital firms provide potential clients with useful content, an expert has asserted.

Hollis Thomases, president of digital agency WebAdvantage.net, made her comments to the Click Z Network after returning from a convention on lead generation tactics.

She highlighted that it is important for both the business and the consumer to be satisfied, adding that where a lead feels misled or overwhelmed, they will become less responsive.

Furthermore, businesses can no longer simply market to the client, Ms Thomases continued.

"They'll have to provide more and richer content to truly capture user interest and gauge intent," she explained.

Recently, Pattrick Jhonson, of search engine optimisation firm e.create, told the American Chronicle that providing clients with newsletters and information is one useful way in which a firm can market to them while building trust.

He added that providing consumers with "striking information" makes it more likely they will read the emailed messages.ADNFCR-1351-ID-18541806-ADNFCR
