While she may not have been the absolute first person to break the news, many people's first hint at the death of Osama bin Laden this weekend came via conversational media and Myleene Klass.
At 03:43 BST on May 2nd, the former Hear'Say singer directed her Twitter followers to the CNN hashtag - eight minutes before the American news channel first tweeted about bin Laden's death.
Her first tweet on the subject read: "Go to #CNN everyone (whos up on nightfeed). Obama announcement re national security."
She tweeted again at 03:53 BST - still two minutes before the CNN Breaking News profile named bin Laden and just two minutes after the main CNN profile revealed the news.
In replies to later tweets from her followers, the star explained that she was awake feeding her newborn baby when the news broke.
She added that she "proudly" works for CNN - although her role is normally on the channel's arts programming, rather than headline news.
