Marketers can use Twitter to enhance SEO

Travel agents looking to online marketing to boost their business should consider making use of internet tools such as Twitter, it has been suggested.
Speaking to TTG Live, Amir Lodge of Lowcostdeals.co.uk said that there were a number of benefits associated with using the microblogging service - including search engine optimisation.
He explained that he uses Twitter to offer updates on new resorts and holiday deals, among other things, as well as to promote suppliers.
"We've only been Twittering for three weeks; in the first week we had eight followers but now we're up to 40," Mr Lodge stated.
According to Hitwise, Twitter moved into the top 100 UK websites in terms of traffic during the week ending on February 7th and accounts for 0.66 per cent of all UK web visits.
The website is also the seventh most popular social network overall, compared with its position of 23rd three weeks previously.
