Incorporating an effective blog into a website can be beneficial as part of a search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy, it has been noted.

In conclusion, he states a blog also allows a firm to set itself apart from competitors, noting that such a resource can help a business to stand out and also gives a "real advantage" in terms of SEO.
Meanwhile, Ewan McIntosh, a social media consultant speaking on behalf of the Society of Information Technology Management, recently stated that social media provides a means for people to connect to others in different sectors.
