Businesses advised on SEO

Allowing people to find a website in the search listings via natural search engine optimisation (SEO) is a key discipline for businesses.
That is the view of the product manager at hosting service Hostway, Phil Turnbull, who has suggested that paid search is also important if firms are looking to make the best use of their websites.
Detailing some of the things companies can do to improve their website and potentially increase sales or the use of their services, he said that it is vital for webpages to be clear about what they are trying to offer the consumer.
"Having a useable, informative website offers individuals and organisations the ability to offer a window to the world on what they do, so that people can find the information, tools and services they are looking for quickly and easily," Mr Turnbull explained.
His comments follow a recent survey by Fasthosts Internet, which found that 77 per cent of firms do not measure any type of return on investment for their websites.
It also revealed that one in four business owners do not think their company's website has the potential to be a sales channel.
