Search engine optimisation (SEO) has proved beneficial to many firms in the past, it has been noted.

By adopting a long-term strategy, optimisation consultant SEOGenies asserts that the greatest potential for a return on investment may be achieved.

The organisation adds that optimisation is a "basic need" for any online operative with a product or service to sell.

"SEO is the way to increase the volume of traffic of a particular URL in the search engines such as Yahoo, Google, MSN," the firm says.

"By SEO there are many firms who have achieved high rankings on all the major search engines and benefited," SEOGenies adds.

Marc King, chief executive officer of Kingsrealm, recently stated that optimisation is a crucial element of an overall marketing strategy.

Without optimising content as the first stage, he contended that all other marketing effects would be "minimised to the point of almost total uselessness".ADNFCR-1351-ID-18510836-ADNFCR
