Online news on a mobile phone

Mobile phone users are now able to search news, sport, radio and television web pages from the BBC on their handsets.
This new opportunity to locate online news via a mobile phone comes after the corporation developed a beta search on its mobile homepage.
Commenting on the BBC Internet Blog, executive producer of the organisation's mobile browser Ulyssa MacMillan said that the service has been "a long time coming".
She added that the facility is "not perfect", but the BBC was eager to get the search engine up and running and available to its users.
In advice to people who may want to access the engine, Ms MacMillan indicated that the search box will appear at the bottom of the BBC default page.
However, those who have customised their homepages will need to do so again, before adding the search box.
Last month, the Mobile Marketing Association announced that BBC Worldwide is one of the 12 big brands it has confirmed to speak at the annual Mobile Marketing Forum Europe. Coca-Cola, Nike and BMW are also on the list.
