In order to increase efficiency and traffic from organic search, webmasters need to be aware that every page on their website provides them with a marketing opportunity, it has been asserted.
Brett Charney, director of strategic services at public relations firm Merckle, makes his comments to online resource
DMNews, stating that not recognising this is one of the biggest mistakes web retailers make.
"They put a great deal of energy into making their site's home page sparkle and don't give the other pages much attention. Each one should be optimised for organic search success - and can be utilised for paid search landing pages as well," he adds.
Mr Charney continues by suggesting marketers carry out a page by page review of their website in order to identify any weaknesses such as URL naming and navigation.
He concludes by recommending that a test of every page is carried out in order to identify their strengths.
