High street travel agents 'should use SEO'

Traditional high street travel agents should improve their web presence to combat the increased visibility of their online rivals, an expert has advised.
Speaking to news provider TravelMole, Tom Wood from digital consultancy Foolproof explained that improving their natural and sponsored search results, high street agents can compete more effectively against online specialists.
He commented that while many holidaymakers use the web to research their holidays, booking trips online can be complicated, with long, confusing forms meaning it is difficult to compare different options.
Mr Wood added this means high street travel agents still have an opportunity to "reclaim their share of voice in the online world", TravelMole quotes.
He advised travel agents to improve their search ranking positions and make sure their websites offer a worthwhile experience.
According to PublicTechnology.net, search engine optimisation (SEO) is a "crucial tool" for marketers.
It recommends those wishing to improve their rankings through SEO try to create regularly updated, high-quality material and ensure there are inbound links to their site from other trusted websites.
