Adobe has developed technology to allow search engines to index AJAX-based content, the company has explained.
Called Ichabod, the resource has already been released to Google - which is running it in indexing engines - and Adobe is also working with Yahoo! on the effort, a spokesperson for the company told reporters at the AJAXWorld RIA Conference.
Web resource InfoWorld notes the official said challenges exist with regard to indexing content and more steps need to be taken in order to reveal content to search engines.
"As people are starting to build AJAX apps, the content is getting more opaque. It's getting harder to find with the search engine. You need to be able to still get to that information as a user," he said.
Ichabod's history dates back to July, when Adobe announced it was to work with "search industry leaders" in order to improve results of rich internet applications and dynamic web content.
