Large websites 'make SEO easier'

It is easier to rank well in terms of
search engine optimisation (SEO) for companies with large websites and wide product ranges, according to an industry expert.
Sam Tilston, online marketing director for mail order firm zoombits.co.uk, said that search engine giant Google "loves large websites".
"The more products you have, the more pages you have on your website, so you can use each page on your website," he explained.
However, he added that it is necessary to automate
SEO for firms with a large number of products. This is achieved by using "proper architecture and data", which helps ensure that all pages are set out in a standard way.
Independent search marketing agency Greenlight recently analysed 700 of the most popular generic
keywords for white goods as part of an
SEO study.
The research found that "fridge freezers" was the most queried term by UK web searchers in August 2009. "Range cookers" and "washing machines" were the next most frequently searched-for
keywords in this category.
