Organic search engine optimisation (SEO) is the most cost-effective approach to search marketing available, particularly now that firms can bid to place adverts on their competitors' sites, one firm has asserted.

Digital agency SEO1 Services stated that paid links do not offer sustainable results and can be a costly way for firms to drive traffic to their pages.

However, organic tactics mean a corporate website is highly visible because it contains relevant content and this is a lasting result, it continued.

"With the upward trend of internet advertising costs, businesses that rely solely on pay-per-click advertising will see their budget deplete sooner, their revenue plunge along with their [return on investment]," the company argued.

Furthermore, the acquisition cost of clients will also rise, it stated.

Google offers advice for webmasters seeking to boost their websites' ranking, recommending they consider which words their target audience are likely to search for and aim to include those naturally throughout their copy.

Furthermore, it argues, they should ensure their pages are filled with useful and informative content.ADNFCR-1351-ID-18645895-ADNFCR
