The benefits of publishing articles on a company website are many and varied and go beyond just search engine optimisation (SEO), an industry commentator has asserted.
A blog post published by search marketing firm
North South Media has suggested that publishing newsy content on a website can make a firm appear authoritative and increase readership.
This is in addition to the advantages of increased internal linking, page incrementation and the SEO-boosting benefit of unique content.
North South Media also commented the tone of an article depends on where it is being made available.
"Remember, a blog post has many personal touches woven throughout. Articles on the other hand should be informative without being too personal," it continued.
When used correctly, articles can drive considerable traffic to a site and generate inbound links, the blog concluded.
Recently, a post on the
E-consultancy resource suggested that the most important aspect of using articles as a marketing tactic is to make sure they are credible and stand out.
