The "correct" way to organically boost a website's search engine ranking is to create compelling and relevant copy, a website editor has commented.
James Stewart, editor of the Healthy Kids Newswire, made his comments while explaining why he chose search engine optimisation (SEO) firm You,Here,Now! to help increase his website's search engine visibility.
He said the "correct way" to boost placement is "by creating compelling, pertinent copy focused on the subject at hand" rather than trying to "trick" search engines' algorithms.
Strategy Consulting, a company providing marketing advice to small and medium businesses, also recently suggested the key to high rankings is to provide relevant and interesting content.
It encouraged firms to consider using a blog, news articles, press releases and testimonials to increase the attractiveness of their website.
By filling pages with useful and relevant information, websites encourage inbound links which boosts their apparent value to search engines, Strategy Consulting continued.
