Online marketing to be dominated by SEO, says expert

Search engine optimisation (SEO) will become the most used online marketing channel in the future, it has been predicted.
According to WordStream director of marketing Tom Demers, SEO is likely to emerge as the most effective and cost-efficient form of web marketing among businesses looking for the best advertising medium - whether it is online or offline.
He goes on to suggest that the social media channel has a significant role to play when it comes to SEO effectiveness.
"Building relationships and building your brand is great for SEO ... Every form of marketing helps supplement and amplify every other form of marketing when done properly," Mr Demers says.
The comments came after a poll by Practical eCommerce revealed that 95 per cent of online retailers see SEO as an important tool for their businesses.
Almost 83 per cent of respondents said their websites are currently optimised for search engines.
