SEO "vital" following online increase

As the number of internet users across the world continues to increase, it is "vital" for companies to employ a search engine optimisation (SEO) company to market their online presence, an expert has commented.

London-based online marketing firm Utopia Web Solutions stated: "Since the term search engine optimisation has become commercially aware, there has been an explosion of companies claiming to offer guaranteed rankings on the major search engines."

However, it warned that no company can guarantee high rankings on the search engines such as Google and Yahoo!.

Lee Smith, founder of Utopia, added that the search engine marketing industry in Britain has seen "mixed reviews", highlighting the importance of selecting the right SEO firm for a campaign.

The company claims that with suitably chosen keywords, an SEO strategy could increase a site's traffic by as much as 1,500 per cent over a few months, making it vital that the most useful words and phrases are selected.
